What should
you include in your covering letter? |
<<Back |
This should be fairly brief as the information is already
on the form or CV
- Plan what you want to say
- Do a rough version first
- Keep the wording simple and stick to the point
- Leave out anything that won’t help you get
the job
- Include the job title and any reference number,
if you know it
- Say briefly why you are applying for the job, what you are enclosing and that you are available for interview
- If the letter is to be sent with an application
form, you can use it to mention anything important
that you couldn't fit on the form
Remember:
below is an example letter only. Have a go at
writing a letter of your own showing what you
can do - be truthful and only include things you
are happy saying. |
