reliable information to help them make choices at different
points in their life and career. The Calderdale &
Kirklees Careers' Information Services Team provide
a comprehensive collection of information to support
these career, learning and life decisions. We offer:
- publications and information leaflets
- support to schools and colleges
- libraries, training and other services
Clients can access our
information resources in various ways:

Professionals have access to a range of materials that:
A comprehensive range of around 800 careers information
leaflets, which include details of local opportunities
and routes into many careers, all listed in our Catalogue.
A reference set of leaflets produced by Calderdale &
Kirklees Careers is available in schools/colleges for
those that successfully bid for CII (Connexions Information
Initiative) money. Each school/college has a catalogue
and order pad. Individuals may order up to three leaflets
at a time. These leaflets are also available through

Helplines
Directory - a directory of local
addresses and websites: information from addiction
to youth services targeted at PAs, IAG Partners
and Connexions librarians. Printed copies are
posted to most schools in Calderdale and Kirklees
and the online version is updated monthly |

and email service, learningline@ckcareers.org.uk,
available to young people and adults in Calderdale
and Kirklees who have enquiries about careers,
education or training. |
Training Services
The Information Team provides
training on all aspects of information provision and
promotion as part of school and college INSET training. The team also advises on
information modules for IAG NVQ qualifications.
