We employ around 180 staff, two thirds of whom are engaged in direct delivery of services to clients. They do this in schools and colleges throughout Calderdale and Kirklees, in our three Connexions Centres in Dewsbury, Halifax and Huddersfield and also in a variety of other partner organisations. Other staff work in important supporting teams including finance, ICT, personnel, work-based services and information services.

We have a strong commitment to staff development and advertise all internal opportunities on our own Intranet. We recruit external staff using a variety of media, including local newspapers, local authority vacancy bulletins, professional journals and our own website vacancies section, where information on all our external vacancies can be accessed on-line.

	Investors in People Standard - Calderdale & Kirklees Careers was first awarded Investors in People (IiP) in 1997. In 2003 it retained the award and at its last three-yearly review in 2005 was found to be more than meeting the Standard.
