Our Connexions/Careers Centres in Dewsbury and Huddersfield are open between 10am and 5pm. Our centre in Halifax is open 12noon to 5pm, Monday and Tuesday and 10am to 5pm, Wednesday to Friday. Our staff are always happy to help. If they can’t help they will find someone who can.

Young people can drop-in to see a qualified adviser between 10am and 5pm any weekday; they can also be seen by appointment. Adults can drop-in on mornings when the centre is open, use our careers information and public computers free of charge or contact our learningline for advice on 0800 5 979 979.

Warning! It can get very busy between 12 noon and 2pm

Advisers can help with:

• decision making about learning and work
• advice and help with applications, CVs and interviews
• applications to jobs; matching job requirements with skills, interests and experience
• general support and encouragement and building self confidence
• finding the right people to help

In addition...

• entry level vacancies are displayed in all centres
• users can check local newspapers and vacancy bulletins or use the internet for job and learning-related searches
• our Centres hold a library of information on education, training, funding, making decisions, careers, relationships, health, voluntary work, finding a job and more.
  … and there are around 700 free leaflets to take away!
• careers guidance programs are also available on the computers in our Centres
