You might want to get involved to:

• promote your company to future customers, their families and
  schools
• recruit young people – if a young person does well you could
  offer them a chance of a job when they leave school or may be some part-time work.
• help prepare young people for joining the future workforce
• share expertise in your business with a young person
• provide your staff with the opportunity to supervise and mentor
  young people
• get to know our company – we offer several free services to
  business
• build links with schools in your area and learn more about the
  education system and qualifications

These four local employers are already involved in offering work experience to young people in our area and have taken time to tell us what it means to their companies:

	Sarah Jagger, administrator at Spafield Displays Ltd ('Point of Sale' display manufacturer)
	Jeanette Smart, manager at Spectrum Autos (motor vehicle body repairs)

In 2010, work experience providers responded to a survey forwarded to all companies that had taken students on work experience in 2009. A total of 252 companies responded to our survey (49.2kb Adobe Acrobat).
