How is work experience planned and organised?

<<Back

We make arrangements with schools and businesses to ensure placements are as safe, enjoyable and meaningful as possible.

For employers
When you contact us to express interest, one of our advisers will visit your company to discuss the principles of work experience and answer any questions you may have.

If you decide you want to be involved, arrangements will be made with your company well in advance of the placement start date.

We then make sure that ALL neccessary paperwork is completed by everyone involved.

And if you wish, you can interview the student prior to them joining you on placement.

In schools
Students prepare for work experience and learn about the world of work.

It may be that a student will find their own placement, whilst we will arrange placements for others from our list of employers interested in work experience.

Students usually arrive at their placment with a diary or work book.  They may need to gather information and complete short assignments during their time with an employer.

The student's teacher sometimes pays a brief visit during the placement to see how the student is progressing.
