"Our company policy encourages managers to develop their staff and work experience is a valuable opportunity to do this by helping young people to gain experience and to understand what it is like to work in a retail environment. My staff really enjoy having students on placement - and it enables them to link in with their own studies towards NVQs.
As a mother I have seen first-hand the positive outcomes and benefits of work experience. How else can young people gain what every employer is looking for - experience!
I would encourage every employer to help young people become responsible adults and be equipped to enter the workforce".
