NOCN Level 2
Our NOCN Level 2 course provides a basic introduction to Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) skills for people interested in becoming involved in IAG or achieving a recognised qualification to help them progress. No previous experience or qualifications are necessary to enrol on this short programme, which runs over five teaching days. Students then complete a small portfolio. The qualification can be achieved in three months
NVQ Level 3
Our NVQ Level 3 course is a professional work-based qualification for front-line workers already offering information, advice and guidance (IAG) in for example the community or voluntary sector, Connexions, nextstep services, the private or public sector. The course consists of up to five teaching days run over three months followed by a programme of assessment, when students are supported by their tutor to complete their portfolio. The qualification is usually achieved in six to nine months.
Though no formal qualifications are required, students need to show they can cope with study at this level and be in a job that allows them to demonstrate what they have learnt.
NVQ Level 4
Our NVQ Level 4 professional work-based qualification is aimed at front-line workers who must be regularly delivering more in depth advice and guidance, often with a case load of clients. They must also demonstrate the required ability to study at this level. There are up to eight teaching days spread over eight months followed by a programme of assessment when students are supported by their tutor to complete their portfolio. This qualification is usually completed within 12 to 18 months |
