Autistic Spectrum Disorder

<<Back

Our LDD team PAs see young people on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in mainstream schools (Resourced Provision) or in special schools and colleges in Calderdale and Kirklees. Resourced Provision provides young people with specialist ASD support in mainstream or special schools.

Students on the Autistic Spectrum can receive additional learning support from their school or college and the LDD team. Some young people may prefer to access provision specifically aimed at those with ASD and Asperger's Syndrome.

Below is specialist information for young people on the Autistic Spectrum and their parents and carers. For information aimed at ALL young people with a learning difficulty and/or disability, as well as other disabilities or difficulties, see the other pages in the 'Supporting parents of children with LDD' section
