"From time-to-time we offer placements in our 'Point of Sale' display manufacturing workshop. We think it’s really important that young people get the chance to develop some personal skills in a work environment. It helps them to think about what an employer expects and get a real taste of what jobs are like.
Students get to work in different areas of the company.
On the whole our staff enjoy mentoring school students and so as long as students make some effort it usually works out well. The last student we had only lasted one day. We think this was because the student didn't come for an interview first. An interview would have given him the chance to see if the work we do was of interest. So now we encourage all students to visit us before the placement starts.
Some students work for us during school holidays and busy periods".
